Look what I can do!

I think Jackson has a little more Birdwell in him than we thought. He can catch, and here is proof! I think we will be in touch with an agent in the very near future!

This is cold and snowy!

This post is for my sister in Phoenix who swears she is cold in 60 degree weather. Kate tried to tell me over the phone that "60 really feels a lot colder in Phoenix for some reason". I love that.

This post can also be dedicated to my aunt and uncle in southern California who call with excitement to let us know that they "might get snow too"!

I hate to break it to you guys...this is what snow looks like! It is very cold (about 5 degrees at the moment) and actually sticks to the ground.

Jackson didn't quite know what to think about it this morning. I may chalk his un-enthusiastic attitude to the nap he missed. Either way, he kind of kicked it around and just studied the snow falling. It is so funny to watch his expressions sometimes because he is so serious while he is trying to figure things out for the first time. He is too young to realize it, but he has oficially had his first "snow day". Too bad he is not old enough to realize that means a free day from school!

Who says overalls are out of style? Thanks to a very stylish aunt of mine (Gretchen) Jackson has enjoyed so many adorable clothes! These overalls are another one of my obsessions recently and they are also very warm since they have this cute lining. We need all the help we can get when it is only 5 degrees out!

By the way, who could ever tell from these happy pictures that this kid has a double ear infection??? We are getting the tubes put in January 15th, so hopefully it will work...cross your fingers!

What is Christmas without a little "Gourmetta"? It is the most adorable thing ever! Each person gets their own little grill things that you fill with whatever meat, veggies and spices you want. How cute, right?
Then you take a little holiday gourmetta gathering, add a few really fun girls who never get a chance to drink (mostly myself)and voila...a very Merry pre-Christmas!!

Oops...did I forget to mention our wonderful husbands, who were also a lot of fun? Sorry guys, we love you too!

I thought we would never see the day! Jackson has finally found his way to help with Liam! Having two kids under two is challengins at best. The term multi-tasking, I am convinced, came from a mother with young kids. But all of the diapers, meals, whining, and spit up is a very small price to pay when I get to see moments like these. I know how blessed I am to be able to stay at home with my boys so I don't miss out on a single minute. You just never know when they decide to do something as sweet at this!

In an effort to keep things fair, here are some that are equally as cute of Liam. I cannot believe that he is two months old already! p.s. I love chubby babies!!

I am getting a little obsessive about posting new pictures, but we had so much fun I can't resist! It is getting pretty cold lately but go outside any chance we can. Jackson even helped do a little raking!

Have I mentioned that Jackson LOVES to get his picture taken? The first is after he decided to un-roll toilet paper all over the house, and the rest are from some of the few nightly photoshoots that he goes crazy for. Aren't they just the cutest little brothers you have ever seen? We recieved a few matching outfits from friends and I just love them! Just so you know, Liam is now in the 80th percentile for height and weight...yeah for chubby babies, they are so much happier and easier! My love for these two kids is unbelievable. I don't know what Jonn or I ever did to deserve the two of them. We are so extremely lucky and blessed!

Here are just a few random pictures from the fall...we had a great time on the boat in Coeur d Alene, up at Greenbluff to get pumpkins, and then a lot of family time around the house just enjoying our two boys. you may have heard that things are getting a little stressful waiting on my dad's surgery. Just a little update, we are still looking for the right hospital and surgeon to tackle his unique situation and hope it will be taken care of soon. Thank you for all the love and support! We could never get through without our family and friends.

We finally had some time to get a few more pics of the fam. It has been the most wonderfully crazy few weeks of our lives. Thankfully, everyone is healthy and seemingly back to normal for now. I hope we don't have to see the inside of a hospital for a very long, long time.

Liam Daniel

Well...looks like 84% of our friends were wrong. We now have another boy in the mix. We could not be happier. Liam came into the world on Saturday, and after a very quick and easy delivery our litle family became four. He is happy and healthy which is more than we could ever want. Thank you to everyone who sent well-wishes, emails, flowers and gifts over the last few days. It makes everything that much sweeter knowing we have such wonderful people around us. Ready or Not...

Well, this is our last day with only one child! We are going in bright and early for a scheduled induction tomorrow morning and looking forward to meeting this little one. Still no girl name picked out, so we will have to wait and see. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and Jackson behaves! We will post pictures and an update as soon as possible. Wish us luck!

Summer Fun

Here are a few quick pics from this past week. We have been so busy playing catch-up with friends. We have spent a lot of time playing at the park, and even took the weekend for a family trip to see the air show. I know it sounds kind of lame, but we had so much fun and especially loved the new F-22 Raptor Jet. Amazing!

THE BIG DAY!

It was a very proud day at the Birdwell household. Pete was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and Scott graduated from High School! There is a lot to celebrate around here. We are all so proud of the boys and cannot believe how hard they have each worked. Scott will head off to college at EWU and Pete will forgo signing to take a scholarship at University of San Diego. Each are a step closer to realizing life long goals and we could not be happier!!!

Hangin' out with daddy at home...Jackson was honestly lounging on Jonn's legs and watching TV while eating pizza. It was hilarious. Then as soon and I could grab the camera to catch him, he shot the classic Jackson "oooh" face. Love it!

We got a great round of weather, Finally! We had our first little BBQ in the sunshine with friends and it doesn't get much better than that.

We took a trip down to good old Riverside to check in with Pete and the rest of the family! It was great and Jackson was a trooper. We got much more heat than we asked for with temps in the high 90's to 100! Yikes. It was great to see everyone though and we finally saw Pete pitch! (7 innings with one hit...not bad at all!)
