THE BIG DAY!

It was a very proud day at the Birdwell household. Pete was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and Scott graduated from High School! There is a lot to celebrate around here. We are all so proud of the boys and cannot believe how hard they have each worked. Scott will head off to college at EWU and Pete will forgo signing to take a scholarship at University of San Diego. Each are a step closer to realizing life long goals and we could not be happier!!!

Hangin' out with daddy at home...Jackson was honestly lounging on Jonn's legs and watching TV while eating pizza. It was hilarious. Then as soon and I could grab the camera to catch him, he shot the classic Jackson "oooh" face. Love it!

We got a great round of weather, Finally! We had our first little BBQ in the sunshine with friends and it doesn't get much better than that.

We took a trip down to good old Riverside to check in with Pete and the rest of the family! It was great and Jackson was a trooper. We got much more heat than we asked for with temps in the high 90's to 100! Yikes. It was great to see everyone though and we finally saw Pete pitch! (7 innings with one hit...not bad at all!)

What an amazing day in Spokane! We finally got some good weather and wasted no time getting out of the house (after yard work, of course). We took Jack to Riverfront Park and had a great time although you can't tell by his faces...he was concentrating on all the commotion around us!

On a happier note...Jack finally hit 20 pounds! It only took 14 1/2 months! We got to turn his car seat around facing forward so the world can see his beautiful face and he is happy to show it off!

This last weekend was an interesting one...Stephanie was away in Arizona visiting her sister and Jonn was working, leaving Grandma watching Jackson. Everything was going great until he got a little too curious. Jack ended up climbing over a chair only to land directly on his face! Needless to say it was his first major accident and the black eye only gets worse with time. Basically everywhere we go leaves us wondering when someone is going to call CPS. Yikes, having a toddler is a lot of work!

Baby Details

Here is the latest on our upcoming addition...we had an ultrasound and discovered that the due date is offically September 19th. Right at the start of football season and Jonn's internship so it should be a little crazy to say the least. As of right now we are still not going to find out the sex until delivery, but the suspense is killing us even more with this one for some reason. Maybe because of all the "surprises" this baby has given us already not to mention 3 trips to the hospital for rediculous morning sickness and vertigo. The fun never stops around here. Needless to say the Covell house has been pretty boring with Steph constantly sick or having to rest, and Jonn running around chasing Jackson out of her room for peace and quiet. We have another ultrasound in a few weeks and will try to get pictures up so you can try to make your best guess in our baby poll.
